User-defined workspace layouts and role switching

Business problem

Team members who rotate between different roles (e.g., Lead Management, Customer Service, Logistics) currently have to manually reconfigure their sidebar settings, visible channels, labels, and right-hand panels every time they switch tasks. This manual setup is repetitive, does not sync across different browsers or devices, and increases the risk of missing role-specific conversations. Additionally, custom sidebar integrations cannot currently detect the user's current context to display relevant data automatically.

Wished result

The ability for users to save and toggle between multiple named workspace layouts (e.g., "Leads," "Logistics") that preserve their specific configuration of teams, channels, labels, and right-hand panel settings. These layouts should be stored at the account level for cross-device consistency. Furthermore, the active layout ID should be exposed via the API/SDK so that custom sidebar integrations can automatically trigger view changes based on the selected workspace.
